Actor-director Farhan Akhtar has all on his movie 120 Bahadur before diving into Don 3 and Jee Le Zaraa. He is to return in acting world with the role of a soldier in the movie 120 Bahadur.
Farhan has already started shooting for movie. The film is all about courage, heroism and selflessness which the men in uniform have.
Farhan on Wednesday, took to his Instagram where is announced about his return into the acting world. He portrays the role of Major Shaitan Singh PVC. The movie will be a revisit to the Battle of Rezang La which was fought during the Indo-China war on November 18, 1962. The actor have also shared a motion along with a still poster of the film. Both shows Farhan standing on the top of the mountain and he faces the Himalayan range and a part of the range under attack.
He captioned the poster which reads, “What they accomplished will never be forgotten. It is an absolute privilege to bring you the story of Maj Shaitan Singh PVC and the soldiers of Charlie company, 13 Kumaon regiment”.
Farhan further added, “Famously known as the Battle of Rezang La, fought on the 18th of November 1962 during the Indo-China war, it is a story of remarkable courage, heroism and selflessness shown by our men in uniform against all odds. We are grateful to the Indian Army for their support in bringing this incredible tale of valour to the screen. We embark today to make this film in all humility and with utmost respect to those we represent”.
Farhan made the announcement with a lot of excitement to which actor Ranveer Singh reacted with lots of emojis. Farhan’s filmmaker-sister Zoya Akhtar also dropped several heart and evil eye emojis on the post.
Movie’s official synopsis reads, “Directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai and produced by Excel Entertainment, ‘120 Bahadur’ is set to deliver an immersive cinematic experience. With stunning visuals and a gripping storyline, the film aims not only to entertain but also to reverently honour the valour of India’s armed forces. This film promises to provide a poignant glimpse into the sacrifices made by military heroes, further solidifying Excel Entertainment’s reputation for delivering outstanding narratives that captivate audiences worldwide”.
Farhan is all set to return as director next year. His directorial films are Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani’s Don 3. Jee Le Zaraa is also on making. The movie have been co-written by Zoya and Reema Kagti which stars Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt in crucial roles.
