Akshay Kumar is all set to make his Tollywood Debut in Telugu film ‘Kannappa’. The film is a fantasy drama based on mythology and is about the titular devotee of Lord Shiva.

Earlier once Akshay Kumar worked in a Kannada film titled Ashaant in 1993. This was his first south Indian film. Then he also debuted in a Tamil film with Shankar’s 2018 Rajnikanth-starrer 2.0. His third south Indian project will be Kannappa.
Kannappas star cast consists of numerous actors from various industries. The film stars Prabhas, Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Madhoo, Sarathkumar, Prabhu Deva, Brahmanandam, Mukesh Rishi, Kaushal Manda and many more. The film also stars Vishnu and his father, actor Mohan Babu. The music of the film is done by Stephen Devassy and Mani Sharma. Editing is done by Anthony and cinematography is by Sheldon Chau.
Vishnu’s dream probe Kannappa with Mohan is produced under AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory. He wrote the screenplay of the film, which is based on a story developed by Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, Eshwar Reddy, G Nageswara Reddy and Thota Orasad. The film is shot in Telugu and will be dubbed in other south Indian languages and in Hindi.
Initially Kajal Aggarwal was roped to play the female lead by later Nupur Sanon was confirmed for the lead. The film has been shot in New Zealand and Hyderabad so far. The release date is yet to be confirmed by the makers.
