Payal Malik, who was evicted from the Bigg Boss house early in the season, has been vocal about the trolling and harassment she has faced. In a recent Instagram video, Payal addressed her followers, explaining her decision to pursue legal action against those responsible for defaming her. She revealed that while she initially brushed off the trolling, the recent threats have crossed a line, prompting her to seek legal recourse.
In her video, Payal shared her frustration, stating, “So far, I was being trolled, and I didn’t have a problem with that. When a person achieves great heights, they do face trolling. But now, I’m receiving a lot of threats.” She emphasized that these threats were becoming increasingly severe and invasive, leading her to take legal action.
Payal went on to clarify her stance, saying, “Those who are defaming me and my family, I’ve come here to file a defamation case against them.” She asserted her commitment to holding those responsible accountable, adding, “Now, whatever happens, you will have to face it because you people are doing all these. I’ve given the names here. Those people will get notices soon whose names I’ve shared here.” The video concluded with a folded hands emoji, symbolizing her earnest plea for justice.
This action follows a recent controversy involving a fabricated video of Armaan Malik and his second wife, Kritika Malik. The video, which purportedly showed inappropriate content, has been widely circulated online, prompting Payal to take a stand. JioCinema, the streaming platform for Bigg Boss OTT 3, has also issued a statement condemning the video. They clarified that the video clip in question was doctored and did not reflect the actual content of the show. In their statement, JioCinema addressed the issue, saying, “JioCinema adheres to strict programming standards and guidelines to ensure the quality and appropriateness of any content that streams on our platform. Bigg Boss OTT, which was streamed on JioCinema, did not have any such content.” They further condemned the circulation of the fake video, stating, “The video clip in circulation is doctored to include obscenity and is fake. We are committed to protecting the integrity of JioCinema and the trust our viewers place in us. The creation and circulation of this fake clip is a matter of very serious concern.”
Meanwhile, Armaan Malik and Kritika Malik remain inside the Bigg Boss OTT 3 house, as the show continues to captivate audiences. Payal Malik’s decision to pursue legal action reflects the increasing seriousness with which she is addressing the defamation and threats she has encountered.
