Dhanush and Aishwarya have tied knot in 2004. But the after the two years of announcing their divorce, the couple have filed for divorce. India Today have reported that the duo have recently filed for divorce at the Chennai family court.
According to the sources of India Today, the couple have filed the petition under section 13 B–divorce by mutual consent and their case will be heard soon. For the past two years Dhanush and Aishwarya have been living separately.
Dhanush wrote on X,
“18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Aishwarya by sharing this post wrote, “No caption needed…only your understanding n your love necessary!” Dhanush and Aishwarya are parents of two sons, Yatra and Linga who born in 2006 and 2010 respectively.
Aishwarya made her directorial comeback with Lal Salaam after their separation. The film featured Rajinikanth. The film also stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the pivotal roles. Dhanush was last see in Captain Miller which was streamed on Prime Video on February 9. Now he is all set to step into music maestro Ilaiyaraaja in an upcoming biopic. The film will be directed by Arun Matheswaran.
