T-Series have confirmed about the making of the biopic on Yuvraj Singh. The film will be on the life and career of the cricket icon. Read on to know it all.
On Tuesday, T-Series took to their official handle and shared the announcement about the making of Yuvraj Singh’s biopic. The movie’s tentative title seems to be Six Sixes. The main focus of the film is to be on the journey of Yuvraj’s being a World Cup hero to Cancer cancer survivor.
The makers tweet read, “Relive the legend’s journey from the pitch to the heart of millions — Yuvraj Singh’s story of grit and glory is coming soon on the big screen!”
Animal and Kabir Singh fame and Head of T-Series, Bhushan Kumar will be joining the forces along with producer Ravi Bhagchandka. Ravi has also backed the 2017’s film Sachin: A Billion Dreams which is a documentary on Sachin Tendulkar.
Variety have reported that the movie is to be recreate an iconic moment in Yuvraj’s long career: he famously hit six sixes in a single over against England bowler Stuart Broad uring India’s 2007 T20 World Cup-winning campaign.
Yuvaraj has contributed to India’s 2011 World Cup victory, where he was player of the series, are also expected to feature. Yuvraj was diagnosed with cancer in 2017 and his subsequent battle and triumphant return to cricket in 2012 is expected to be another highlight. In 2019, Yuvraj announced his retirement from international cricket.
