The much anticipated ancient Indian epic ‘Ramayana‘ is in making. The film has garnered more excitement with the inclusion of renowned actor Yash to be a part of the film as a co-producer.
‘Ramayana ‘ is helmed by Nitesh Tiwari. The filmmaker was a bit upset about the leaked images of the cast’s outfits and characters. After this he has now imposed a no-phone policy on the set.
‘Ramayana’ casts Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. It the rumoured that Yash can be seen portraying the role of Ravana but now Zoom has reported that the actor has joined the movie only as a producer.
A source told Zoom, “Yash desisted the offer to play Ravana for a long time. He agreed finally only as a producer. Rather than accept a fee (of around ₹80 crore), he agreed to come on board as a producer.”
News agency ANI has reported that Bobby Deol has been approached to play the role of Kumbhkaran. Rumours can also be heard that Vijay Sethupathi can be seen as Ravana’s younger bride, Vibhishan. Sheeba Chaddha and Lara Dutta can also be a part of the film. Lara Dutta can be seen as the Kaikeyi, stepmother of Lord Ram and Sheeba can be seek as Manthara.
Ranbir’s trainer gave a glimpse of the actor’s intense training by sharing a video of him. In the video Ranbir can be seen exercising amidst lush green surroundings, running alongside his trainer, lifting weights and engaging in various exercises. He also enjoyed swimming, cycling and hiking. The video was captioned as, “Went to the countryside for a decompression week. WIP with Ranbir.” ‘Ramayana ‘ is scheduled to hit the theaters around Diwali 2025.
Yash’s on the other hand is all set to start over the shooting of his highly anticipated film, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups. The film is helmed by Geetu Mohandas and is produced by Venkat K Narayana’s KVN Productions and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. The film is said to be an action-oriented film. The film is to hit the theaters on April 1p,2025.
