Tanu Weds Manu 3 Update: Director Aanand L Rai Gives An Update On The Making Of The Film

In Bollywood, the franchise if the films have become a popular trend with the recent sequels like Stree 2 and Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba. The movies have been receiving a positive response from the viewers. This led the fans wonder about the third installment of the romantic comedy film Tanu Weds Manu. The first part of the film was released in 2011 which starred Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan. In 2015, this have been followed by the sequel which was Tanu Weds Manu Returns. The movie received immense love from the fans.

Director Anand L Rai have addressed these speculations and said that he is quite aware about the curiosity surrounding a potential third installment of the film. He said that the continuation of the film’s story depends totally of the narrative. Rai said to Hindustan Times, “We are working on the story.” He has also gave an assurance that once the story is perfected, they will continue with the project.

Rai was also asked about the pressure of meeting the high expectations set by Tanu Weds Manu Returns. The Raksha Bandhan director said that when they have achieved a hit film, it becomes a significant challenge, and that’s an exciting part. He said, “But that’s the exciting part of our business. You have to handle the responsibility thoughtfully and not let the pressure overwhelm you.” It would be interesting to see what happens to Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan’s characters in the threequel.

On the other hand, Aanand L Rai is all set to reunite with Dhanush for the movie Tere Ishq Mein. The duo earlier collaborated on the movies Raanjhanaa and Atrangi Re. The announcement for the same was made last year. Fans have been eagerly waiting to see Rai and Dhanush in their third collaboration after such two big hits.
