In an interview with PTI, Rao expressed his hunger for more challenging roles in his career. He emphasized his focus on immersing himself fully into the character and storyline of each project he takes on. Rao admitted to not planning his roles in advance, noting that each character he portrays becomes his dream role at that moment. Reflecting on his journey, he acknowledged the unpredictability of his trajectory, stating, “I’m only focused on that character and that story. I’m sure there’s much more ahead for me.”
Discussing his role in “Srikanth”, Rao revealed his excitement for portraying a visually impaired character for the first time. He admitted to initially feeling unsure about taking on such a challenging role but found the prospect exhilarating. Rao explained that he is drawn to roles that push him out of his comfort zone, citing the need for extensive research and preparation for his portrayal of Srikanth. Despite the challenges, he feels a sense of duty to do justice to real-life characters like Srikanth Bolla, aiming to hit the right notes and deliver a compelling performance.
