Rajkumar Rao took to his Instagram account on Saturday and announced a new title and a new release date for his upcoming film which is a biography on industrialist Srikanth Bolla.
Rajkumar Rao’s film is now titled as ‘Srikanth- Aa Raha Hai Sabki Aakhein Kholne’. The actor also announced it’s new release date which is May 10 on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.
The movie is directed by Tushar Hiranandani. The film also stars Jyotika, Alaya F and Sharad Kelkar. Rajkumar Rao will be playing the tutorial role in the movie.
Rajkumar took to his Instagram handle and shared a poster of the film and the release date was mentioned on it. The poster read, ‘Rajkumar Rao in & as Srikantu. ANI informed that the film was set to release on February 15.
Rajkumar Rao captioned the poster as,“A remarkable true story that will open your eyes! #Srikanth, earlier titled SRI, releasing on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, 10th May 2024.”
Reportedly the film Srikanth is based on the life of an industrialist named Srikanth Bholla who is visually impaired. He fearlessly pursued his dreams despite of being disabled. He also found Bollant Industries. Srikanth’s family was mainly dependent on farming and he was visually impaired since birth. He started Bollant Industries with funds from Ratan Tata in 2012. His industry manufactures areca-basef products and several people are employed who are disabled.
The film is presented y Gulshan Kumar and T-Series. The film is made under the banner of T-Series Films and Chalk N Cheese Films Production LLP. The producers are Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani.
Rajkumar Rao has many big projects which includes Mr and Mrs Mahi which stars Janhvi Kapoor and Abhishek Banerjee, Stree 2 with Shraddha Kapoor and Vicky Vidyw Ka Woh Walq Video with Triptii Dimri.
