Netizens have found similarities about the ending of Rajkumar Rao’s film Stree 2 and Marvel’s Avengers. Now the actor have opened up about the same. Here’s what he said.
Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s film Stree 2 released on August 15, 2024. The film performed pretty well at the box office. The movie received positive reviews from both critics as well as fans. The film has entered ₹500 crore club within just few days of the release which made it to be the biggest blockbuster of the year. The movie have been directed by Amar Kaushik and the producer is Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande. Stree 2 is the sequel of 2018’s Stree. It is also the part of Dinesh’s horror-comedy universe.
Stree 2 have become much more topic of discussion because of its ending. Netizens have compared the film’s ending with the popular Avengers films. This comparison has sparked a lot of conversation, with fans who called it the ‘Indian Avengers.’ In an interview, Rajkummar Rao was asked about this comparison. The actor got surprised but at the same time was pleased. He told Bollywood Hungama entertainment news portal that if a film made with a modest budget like Star Wars is being compared to a big-budget blockbuster like Avengers, it’s a great achievement for the team. Netizens have also compared with Marvel is Akshay Kumar’s character. The post-credit scene has left many wondering if Akshay will be the Thanos of Maddock Film’s horror-comedy universe. So far, the writer and director have only said that they’re thankful for the Sarfira actor doing the special appearance. They haven’t commented on whether Akshay is the supervillain in their franchise.
Rajkumar Rao have also shared the BTS pictures of the deleted scenes from Stree 2. The caption in the post read, “#Stree2 One of my favourite scenes from the film which didn’t make it to the Final Cut. Kya aap log dekhna chahte hain ye scene film mein? Aap sab batao?” Rajkummar Rao on his birthday, a new movie titled Maalik which is a gangster drama. This is the first time the actor will be seen in such an action-packed role as a gangster. In the poster, the actor is seen holding a gun which is hinting at the intensity of his character. The Stree 2 actor wrote took to his Instagram and wrote, “#Maalik ki duniya mein aapka Swagat hai. Shoot shuru ho chuka hai, jald hi mulaqat hogi!”
Stree 2 is the fourth movie in Maddock Films’ horror-franchise. The other movies include Stree, Bhediya and Munjya. The fifth film is to be Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya 2. The shooting is expected to start from next year as per the reports.
