Phule Poster: Pratik Gandhi and Patralekha Starrer Phule’s First Look Unveiled

‘Phule’ is poised to illuminate the remarkable legacy of Mahatma Jyotirao Govindrao Phule and Dnyanajyoti Savitribai Phule, highlighting their pivotal roles in promoting female education and combating casteism in India. Directed by Ananth Mahadevan, the film aims to inspire audiences with the captivating narrative of these influential social reformers.

In a significant stride for Indian cinema, ‘Phule’ brings to the forefront the extraordinary lives of Mahatma Phule and his wife, Savitribai Phule. Their tireless efforts in challenging caste-based discrimination and pioneering female education form the crux of this historical narrative. Under the direction of the talented Ananth Mahadevan, the movie endeavors to unveil the untold stories of these visionary leaders.

To coincide with Mahatma Phule’s birth anniversary, the production unveiled a new poster of ‘Phule,’ featuring Pratik Gandhi and Patralekha embodying the iconic couple. The poster captures the essence of hope and a new beginning, symbolized by the couple gazing towards the horizon. Their expressions mirror the unwavering determination and resilience of the Phules in their quest for social equality.

The ambitious project is spearheaded by producers Jagdish Patel, Pranay Chokshi, Suunil Jaiin, Anuya Chauhan Kudecha, and Ritesh Kudecha. Together, they aim to honor and celebrate the transformative contributions of Jyotirao and Savitribai Phule to India’s social fabric.

Mahatma Phule, bestowed with the title of ‘Mahatma,’ and Savitribai Phule played a pivotal role in establishing the first school for girls in Pune in 1848. This groundbreaking initiative marked the beginning of a significant movement towards universal education, transcending gender and caste barriers. Despite formidable challenges, including British colonial rule, the Phules remained steadfast in their mission.
