Nora Fatehi, known for her hit songs like Dilbar and O Saki Saki, has been steadily rising in the entertainment industry with her talent and hard work. Despite her success, she recently shared the challenges she faced during her early days in Mumbai. Living on a meager budget of Rs 5000, Nora found herself in a shared 3BHK apartment with nine other girls. This living arrangement often left her questioning her decision to pursue her dreams in the city.
Reflecting on her experience, Nora described the living situation as “traumatic,” revealing that she felt like she was living with psychopaths. Sharing a room with two other girls, she found herself overwhelmed and questioning her choices. Additionally, Nora highlighted the exploitation faced by newcomers in the industry. Agencies would deduct significant portions of their earnings, leaving them with barely enough to survive. This exploitation extended to basic necessities like food, with Nora recalling a diet consisting of only eggs, bread, and Nutella due to financial constraints.
Nora emphasized the need for better regulations to protect aspiring artists from such exploitation. She expressed her belief that the lack of laws in this regard is a serious issue, suggesting that her experience during those times was so rough that she feels the need for therapy. Despite the challenges, Nora’s determination and resilience have propelled her to success in the industry, where she continues to shine with her talent and versatility.
