Nana Patekar has finally responded to Tanushree Dutta’s allegations of sexual harassment during the MeToo movement. It all began when Tanushree, known for her role in the film ‘Dhol‘, accused Nana Patekar of misconduct during the shooting of their 2008 movie ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’. Her allegations sparked the MeToo movement in 2018. At that time, Nana Patekar had denied these claims.
Tanushree also accused choreographer Ganesh Acharya and director Vivek Agnihotri of inappropriate behavior during the film shoot.
In a recent interview with The Lallantop, Nana Patekar, now 73 years old, addressed these allegations. He expressed that he believed the accusations were false, which is why he did not react angrily. He stated, “I knew that it was all a lie. That’s why I didn’t get angry. When everything was untrue, why should I be angry? These incidents are in the past. Everyone knew the truth. What could I have said then, when none of this happened? Suddenly, someone claims that you did something. What response could I give to such accusations? Should I have denied it? I know the truth, that I did not do anything.”
Tanushree Dutta had accused Nana Patekar of attempting to sexually abuse her during their collaboration. She also alleged that he had arrived on set unexpectedly, despite the scene supposedly being filmed solely with her.
