Recently actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has received a legal notice from the Madhya Pradesh High Court for using the word ‘Bible’ in the title of her pregnancy book, ‘Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible’. NDTV has reported that actress have been issued a notice by advocate Christopher Anthony. He has filed a petition by objecting the book and have also demanded to ban it.
According to the advocate the ‘Bible’ word used in Kareena’s book’s title has hurt the sentiments of the Christian community. He has also said that Kareena is trying to gain ‘cheap publicity’ for her book. The advocate said, “Bible is the holy book of Christianity all over the world and it is wrong to compare Kareena Kapoor Khan’s pregnancy with the Bible”.
A single-judge bench Gurpal Singh Ahluwalia has issued the notice to Kareena Kapoor. He wants the actress to answer why she has used the word ‘Bible’ in the title of her book. The sellers of the book has also been issued the notice.
According to the reports, the advocate has first filed an FIR against the actress for the book which was published in 2021. After the police officials refused to file an FIR, the advocate appeared to the lower court. There too his plea was rejected.
According to the advocate, “Bible is the holy book of Christianity all over the world and it is wrong to compare Kareena Kapoor Khan’s pregnancy with the Bible.”
Kareena’s book highlights her pregnancy journey and also includes tips and suggestions for pregnant women. The book also provides tips from the dieticians and fitness experts and also guides pregnant women on self-care and nursery preparation.
