The makers of sci-fic epic Kalki 2898 AD have revealed that thr release date is now scheduled to hit the screens on May 9.
Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The film features Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan. The markers have now revealed the new release date of the film on Saturday. The film is now to release on June 27.
The new poster and the release date of Kalki 2898 AD has been shared by the their official account of X. They captioned that poster as, “27 June 2024”.
In the poster Deepika, Prabhas and Amitabh can be seen beside each other. It seemed like a vast desert-like setting.
The caption read, “All the forces come together for a better tomorrow on 𝟐𝟕-𝟎𝟔-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒.”
A week back, the makers of the film shared the latest teaser of film to reveal the character of Amitabh Bachchan. The actor is to portray the role of Ashwatthama. The teaser shows him praying in fronyvig a Shiva linga in a cave. Then a child asks who is he and he replies, “Since ancient times, I have awaited the arrival of the Avatar. I am Guru Drona’s son. Ashwatthama.” Amitabh’s de-aged look went viral on social media.
Kalki 2898 AD is a sci-fic which features Prabhas, Deepika, Amitabh and Kamal Haasan in main leads. The new poster was released on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri. Prabhas’s character name Bhaitava was also revealed then.
Nag at the Synapse 2024 event in Gurgaon said about thr film’s name, “The film starts with Mahabharat and ends in 2898 AD. It spans 6000 years in time. We tried to create worlds, imagining what they would be like while still keeping it Indian, and not make it look like Blade Runner.”
