Director Shoojit Sircar is back yet again with his upcoming project with Abhishek Bachchan after Sardar Udham Singh.
Soojit Sircar is one of the most celebrated storytellers. He has completed more than 20 years in Indian film industry. Sircar is known for his ability to turn ordinary stories to extraordinary ones with a beautiful message in them.
Recently Sircar’s maiden production house, ‘Rising Sun Films’ have shared a glimpse of his next creation on social media. The production house wrote, ,”Shoojit Sircar’s next is a heartwarming tale about the ‘celebration of life’ in its everyday ordinary chaos! It is an emotional journey with an entertaining narrative about a father and daughter who rekindle their precious bond while they navigate through life’s challenges. Shoojit’s films have always carried a legacy that is a cherished collection of moments that remind us to laugh, cry, fall in love and express all that’s within. The details of the film still seems undisclosed. The makers of the untitled film have dropped a clip of Abhishek as a father on Instagram.
The clip was accompanied by a a note that read, “Shoojit Sircar’s next is a heartwarming tale about ‘celebration of life’ in its everyday ordinary chaos! It is an emotional journey with an entertaining narrative about a father and daughter who rekindle their precious bond while they navigate through life’s challenges.”
Besides Abhishek, the film also features Johnny Lever, Ahilya Bamroo and Jayant Kriplani. The film is produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar.
Shoojit said about his next, “It is a slice-of-life film…There is no secret as such but since we are shooting after a long time — the last time we shot, it was back in 2019 before the Covid-19 pandemic happened — the idea was to just shoot the film and announce it when the time is ripe. Announcements were happening almost every day, so my friend and producer Ronnie must have thought that it was best to take it slow.”
Soojit Sircar have given some brilliant films like ‘Piku’, ‘Vicky Donor’, ‘October ‘, ‘Madras Cafe’ and ‘Sardar Udham’. His last film ‘Sardar Udham’ won 5 national film awards in 2023.
