Do Aur Do Pyaar Box Office Collection Day 7: Vidya Balan and Pratik Gandhi’s Romantic Comedy Film Witnesses Major Dip in Numbers

After a promising start, Do Aur Do Pyaar, directed by Shirsha Guhathakurata, experienced a decline in box office earnings by its seventh day. Opening with Rs. 55 lakhs on April 19, 2024, the film saw a significant drop in collections as the week progressed.

On day 7, the Vidya Balan-led drama managed to accumulate only 23 lakhs, following a collection of 31 lakhs on day 6. As a result, the movie’s total box office earnings currently stand at Rs. 3.43 crore.

Do Aur Do Pyaar, a romantic crime thriller penned by Suprotim Sengupta, Amrita Bagchi, and Eisha Chopra, marks the directorial debut of Shirsha Guha Thakurata. Starring Vidya Balan, Pratik Gandhi, Sendhil Ramamurthy, and Ileana D’Cruz, the film also features Ileana’s return to the screen after embracing motherhood.

Despite the modest box office figures, the cast remains grateful for the positive response from critics. Sendhil Ramamurthy expressed his perspective on the film’s financial performance, acknowledging the importance of audience turnout to recoup investments and facilitate future projects. He stated, “You always want people to see the film, right? Because at the end of the day, there is a business aspect to everything, and you want them to make their money back so that hopefully you get to make another film.”

Regarding his expectations for the movie, Ramamurthy maintained a pragmatic outlook, anticipating a gradual buildup rather than an immediate box office sensation. He remarked, “In my head, I never thought this was gonna be some major blowup on the first weekend. I felt like it was gonna be a long game; it was gonna be more of a marathon than a sprint.”

Despite its initial performance, the film’s cast and crew remain optimistic about its long-term prospects, emphasizing the importance of sustained audience engagement and positive word-of-mouth to bolster its success in the weeks ahead.
