Recently, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone joyfully announced their impending parenthood, eagerly anticipating their first child’s arrival in September. During the pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, the couple radiated happiness, with Deepika’s pregnancy glow unmistakably apparent. However, a recent report suggests that Karan Johar’s upcoming production is temporarily on hold due to Deepika Padukone’s maternity leave plans.
According to Zoom, Karan Johar has envisioned a project with Deepika, described as an author-backed venture that has captured the actress’s enthusiasm. Despite Deepika suggesting that the project move forward without her during her maternity leave, Karan Johar, demonstrating admirable understanding, has chosen to wait for her. Allegedly, he views her prioritizing motherhood as a commendable decision. While there’s no official confirmation from either party, Karan Johar had previously shown similar patience by waiting for Alia Bhatt to complete “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani” during her pregnancy.
In her recent film “Fighter,” Deepika Padukone portrayed an air force pilot alongside Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor. Upcoming projects include her collaboration with Rohit Shetty in “Singham Again,” featuring Ranveer Singh, Ajay Devgn, Tiger Shroff, and more. Additionally, the sci-fi drama “Kalki 2898 AD” is in the pipeline, where Deepika stars alongside Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani, Kamal Haasan, among others. Despite the pause in one project, Deepika Padukone continues to be a prominent figure in the Bollywood film landscape.
