Yesterday, actress-turned-politicial Kangana Ranaut was slapped by a CISF constable at the airport. After the incident, Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram account and posted a video in which she spoke about her rise of violence in Punjab which resulted to spark more debates. As per the sources, the CISF constable has slapped Mandi MP and actor Kangana Ranaut at the Chandigarh airport at the Chandigarh airport for “disrespecting farmers” and has been taken to the custody.
CISF Kulwinder Kaur has been charged for assaulting Kangana Ranaut on Thursday. During the incident, Kangana was en route to board a flight for Delhi.
According to the paramilitary security guard, an old statement of Kangana about your farmer’s protest has set her off.
Kulwinder has explained the reason of slapping her and said she did it because of the farmer protests of 2020 which was against thr three farm laws which has been passed by th4 Center. She stated, “She gave a statement… that farmers are sitting there for ₹ 100. Will she go and sit there? Kangana had posted on her social media during the height of a nationwide uprising that an old woman was paid Rs 100 to sit there. The actor was then forced to remove her post after she received a lot of criticism.
A video of the airport showed that Kangana led to the security checkpoint and there the incident took place. Then as soon as she gets there, she gets led away for the flight. The slap has not been showed in the video.
Kangana took to her X after just a few hours of the incident which read, “The incident happened at the security check-in. The woman guard waited for me to cross. She then came and hit me and started throwing expletives. I asked (her) why she hit me. She said, ‘I support farmers’. I am safe… but my concern is terrorism is rising in Punjab. How do we handle that?”
Kangana was encountered by criticism on social media in February 2022 because of her response to a post made by singer Rihanna for the farmer’s protest. She by sharing a video of the farmers protesting and asked, “Why aren’t we talking about this?”
Kangana reffered to the demonstrators as “terrorists” and said, “No one is talking about it because they are not farmers; they are terrorists who are trying to divide India so that China can take over our vulnerable, broken nation and make it a Chinese colony much like the USA… Sit down, you fool, and we are not selling our nation like you dummies.” But later she deleted the post.
No updates have been made public yet about the suspension of the CISF constable.
