The JioCinema has finally announced about the new host of the show through a video. Bigg Boss OTT 3 is to be released by this June. A video has been released by Jio Cinema where the announcement of the new host has been revealed. The third season of the Bigg Boss OTT 3 is to be hosted by Anil Kapoor instead of Salman Khan.
Last week, it has been reported by Hindustan Times that Anil Kapoor is to take over Salman Khan to host the show. The news has been confirmed by the new video. In the new video, Anil Kapoor’s face isn’t visible but the voice clearly confirms him to be Anil.
The video shows him asking for a chair which is brought him and by sitting on it he says, “Bahot hua jhakas, karte hai iss baar kuch khaas. (Let’s do something special this time.)” Jio Cinema shared the video, writing, “A new host for the new season of Bigg Boss OTT! Aur Bigg Boss ki tarha, inki awaaz hi kaafi hai. (Much like Bigg Boss, their voice is enough.)” The date is yet to be shared from when it will be streaming.
By reacting about the news, Anil’s daughter Sonam Kapoor shared the same video on her Instagram stories and wrote, “They’ve got the most talented, hardworking and handsome man onboard!”
A source of Hindustan Times said that Salman Khan is not the part of the show because of his upcoming film commitments. They said, “At the moment, Salman is focused on the prep work of his upcoming film, Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss. That is one the reasons he didn’t take on the hosting duties for the third season of Bigg Boss OTT,” they said, adding, “Salman is expected to start shooting for Sikandar in June, and that has made him let go of Bigg Boss OTT. Fans have mixed reactions for the video. Some fans wrote, “No one can match salman khan when it comes to bigg boss hosting”. “Welcome Anil sir”, said others.
