Imtiaz Ali’s latest biopic on Amar Singh Chamkila has starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra has received lots of appreciation on social media. The film’s team has now received heartfelt congratulations from the dairy company Amul.
Amul has shared a new doodle to celebrate the success of Chamkila. On Monday, Amul took to their X and shared a new doodle inspired by Chamkila. The doodle shows Diljit’s Chamkila in a blue Kurta pyjama and Parineeti’s Amarjot in a floral suit and they are seen holding butter toasts in their hands while performing on stage. The doodle is captioned on the top as, “Ek chammach khila (feed it to me with a spoon),”
The team of Amul have captioned the post as, “#Amul Topical: Diljit Dosanjh makes waves in the Imtiaz Ali/AR Rahman hit musical drama, Amar Singh Chamkila,” Fans were very happy with the art work. One commented, “Super… both this image and movie,” “Super creative for an awesome movie,” read another comment.
Both Diljit and Parineeti loved the post. The have also shared the same on their social media handles. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap have also shared the Amul topical in his Instagram stories. He has called Chamkila to be the ‘best biopic ever made in India.’
Amar Singh Chamkila is directed by Imtiaz Ali. The film is based on the true story of Punjab’s rockstar of masters who has emerged from poverty and saw the heights of popularity in the 80s. He was assassinated at a very young age of 27.
Priyanka Chopra also praised the film and its cast through her Instagram stories. By posting the film’s poster she congratulated Imtiaz, Diljit and her cousin Parineeti and the team. “Congratulations Imtiaz sir, Diljit, Tisha and the team. Looks so good (sic).” She wrote.
