There have been rumours that Abhishek Bachchan is not going to be a part of Dhoom 4. Here’s how the actor reacted on such rumours.
Dhoom has hit our screens for the first time 20 years back. The movie have been directed by Sanjay Gadhvi. The movie’s high-octane action along with bike chases, suspense, romance and drama have successfully captivated the audiences. Film’s original cast included Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra, John Abraham, Rimi Sen, and Esha Deol along with John Abraham playing the iconic villain, Kabir. The scenes where he rides his bike to the powerful Dhoom background score, became a cinematic moment which have been cherished by many.
Dhoom franchise elevated in 2006 with the addition of Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with Dhoom 2. Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra as Jai and Ali reprised their roles in the movie. In Dhoom 3, Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif joined the franchise. Now, it has been 11 years since Dhoom’s last release. So, fans eagerly awaits for the updates on Dhoom 4.
Among all these, there have been rumours that, some past reports suggest that Dhoom 4 might be without Abhishek Bachchan. But the actor clearly said the he and Uday Chopra are an integral part of Dhoom franchise. He also clarified that the series revolves around the adventures of their characters which are Jai and Ali.
Abhishek said that other characters may come and go but the characters of Jai and Ali are irreplaceable. He said, “Can there be a ‘Batman’ franchise without Batman?” The actor have also reflected the journey of Dhoom to Dhoom 3 and shared that the franchise started with the story of three young men who are Abhishek, Uday and John. Abhishek also revealed that producer Aditya Chopra had a vision to redefine the action genre with Dhoom. As young, hopeful, and enthusiastic filmmakers, they embraced the challenge, though they could never have predicted the immense success that followed.
On the other hand, fans took to social media where they expressed their desire of Shah Rukh Khan to be a part of Dhoom 4. Fans will have to wait for the makers to confirm any news regarding the movie.
Abhishek Bachchan’s upcoming projects are Be Happy and King. In Sujoy Ghosh’s King, Abhi will be seen portraying a negative role in which Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana khan will be his opposite.
