Abhishek Bachchan has signed Shoojit Sircar for his next film. Shoojit Sircar have revealed that his upcoming film is yet to be titled.
Sircar in an interview with Quint spoke,“My stories are always emotional slice-of-life film. My stories are always related to life and they have humour in them. I have always tried to experiment with different genres, keeping the journey of life as the main theme. I am collaborating with Abhishek Bachchan for my next film. I will take you on a mundane, ordinary man’s journey.”
National Award winning director Shoojit Sircar have directed numerous super-hit Films till date. His last film was a biopic of Sardar Udham which was played by Vicky Kaushal. The film was critically acclaimed.
Shoojit Sircar have recently announced that his upcoming project will be released in 2024. Sircar have gifted is with films like Madras Cafe, October, Piku, Vicky Donor, Gulabo Sitabi, Pink and many more. Sircar’s films portrays extraordinary stories from simple lives. His stories are always simple yet have powerful narrative which deeply connects the audience worldwide.
Abhishek Bachchan was last seen in big screen in R. Baki’s sports drama Ghoomar in 2023.
The film also had stars like Saiyami Kher. The film portrayed the story of a cricket prodigy who achieves success despite losing one arm. The film had a moderate success.
Last year actor Abhishek Bachchan said to PTI, “I grew up in a household where the father gave seventeen golden Jubilees in a row, four of them in a month,or three were already playing and three were about to be released. After my first film that was declared a hit, Dhoom, Adi (Aditya) Chopra had this big success party. I remember coming home, feeling I’ve arrived, and my dad opened the door. I got defeated – it was ‘Amitabh Bachchan’.
