Trisha Krishnan is to make her OTT debut in SonyLIV’s series Brinda.
The series also features actors like Indrajith Sukumaran, Sai Kumar, Ravindra Vijay, Amani, Anand Sami, Jaya Prakash, and Rakendu Mouli.
In her debutant web series, Trisha Krishnan is to portray the role of a cop who delve into a cult’s ritualistic sacrifice of a young girl. The series have been co-written and directed by Surya Manoj Vangala with the contributions from Jay Krishna and Padmavati Malladi. Brinda will be available in languages like Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Marathi, and Bengali.
The teaser of the series have been unveiled. The begining of the teaser is about a young girl who is about to be burned at the stake in a religious ritual. The teaser features a powerful voiceove which states, “We may have anger, betrayal, and hate within us, but these are not the battles we should fight. Instead, we should fight for the good within us so that it doesn’t leave us. Director Surya Manoj Vangala have expressed his excitement about bringing Brinda to a pan-India audience through SonyLIV. He has also highlighted that the series with its suspenseful plot and unexpected twists. The series is designed to captivate it’s viewers and prompt them to reflect on their own beliefs. Vangala have emphasized the significance of the powerful female-led narrative and his satisfaction in directing the series. He has also noted that Brinda’s character is a bit complex and has various aspects which unfolds as the story progresses. Vangala have also praised Trisha Krishnan. He said that working with her has been a pressure and through Brinda, they ami to redefine the genre and have pushed boundaries in the Telugu industry.
