Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan were buzzed to collaborate for Aryan Khan’s apparel brand D’YAVOL X.
Suhana made her debut in Zoya Aktar’s ‘The Archies’ last year.
Aryan Khan’s luxury brand left fans stunned by the ‘ridiculously high’ prices. Aryan’s fresh collection featured his father Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and sister Suhana Khan as models. Some are still not happy with the ‘very expensive’ jackets and other clothing.
The report of SRK and Suhana’s collaboration was reported last year in June. Reportedly Sujoy Ghosh was to as the director. A source claimed to entertainment news that, “The film has been titled King and will be a one-of-a-kind action thriller with strong dynamics shared by Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan. One would have expected SRK and Suhana to team up on a relatively soft film against the backdrop of a father and daughter, but they are ready to break the norm by collaborating for the first time on an action thriller,”
After the launch of the brand, people were not happy with the prices. A fan wrote,”Ye dyavol x ke jacket thoda sa 1000- 2000 wale bhi bana do… Wo wale khareedne me to ghar chala jayega (Can you reduce the price to ₹1000 to 2000. I have to sell off my house in order to afford it).” On this SRK replied, “Yeh D’Yavol X wale log mujhe bhi sasti nahi bech rahe….kuch karta hoon! (They are not even selling me with a discount. Let me do something).”
Another fan commented on D’YAVOL’s latest jacket collection flaunted by SRK and Suhana on Sunday,”Price list… 1) duck taped [white colour] (only girls) ₹15,000. 2) Nocturnal[black colour] (only girls) ₹16,000. 3) Mickey drip [white colour] (boys and girls) – ₹21,000. 4) Blackout [black colour] (boys and girls) ₹21,500. 5) Knight Walker black colour ₹35,000. 6) Deep pockets black colour – ₹35,000. 7) X RAY [white colour] (boys and girls) ₹40,000. 8) Killing smokers [black colour] (boys and girls). ₹41,000. 9) Signature X denim jacket [denim colour] (boys and girls) ₹1,00,000.”
Another one reacted to the ‘price list’ on Instagram and writes,”Very expensive! I cannot afford it…” Another wrote, “Just the brand name if it didn’t have Shah Rukh attached, all of these clothes would sell for under ₹1000.” Another also said, “Why are these clothes so expensive? (Crying emoji).” One also wrote, “Sir, I have to take a bank loan to buy your clothes… Can you please give some discount?”
Some of them defended too by saying,”Shah Rukh Khan has entertained us for years. We will pay extra money to buy these clothes.” One also praised Suhana and Shah Rukh’s photo, writing, “The daughter has taken after her father and how.” Another wrote, “Elegance personified.”
No response has been yet given by both SRK and Suhana about their postponed film. Shah Rukh’s last release was ‘Dunki’, He has not yet announced his next project.
