Abhishek Bachchan is to return and join Housefull 5 along with Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh. The shooting of the film is to start from August.
As actor Abhishek Bachchan returns to the Housefull franchise, it becomes a homecoming moment for the actor. Abhishek was a part of Housefull 3 (2016). He there portrayed the role of a wannabe-rapper Bunty. His circumstances forced him to be differently abled.
Housefull 5 is to be a reunion of Abhishek and Tarun Mansukhani. They worked together in the film Dostana.
The actor said, “Housefull is one of my favourite comedy franchises and coming back feels like returning home. It’s always been a great pleasure to work with Sajid Nadiadwala,” Abhishek said in a statement, adding, “I am looking forward to having mad fun on the sets with my fellow actors Akshay and Ritesh. I’m also so excited to collaborate again with my dear friend Tarun Mansukhani. I’m really looking forward to working with him again after Dostana. This is going to be a lot of fun”.
The shooting of Housefull 5 is to be done on a cruise line. The makers of the film is to start the shooting in the UK in August. The movie is set to hit the theaters on June 6, 2025.
Sajid by talking about the comeback of Abhishek said, “I am thrilled to bring back Abhishek to the Housefull franchise. His dedication, comic time, and sincerity will only elevate our film”.
Director Sajid’s Housefull series is one of the biggest comedy series of Bollywood. The series began with Housefull in 2010 and the the sequels were followed in 2012, 2016 and 2019. The first and second part of Housefull were directed by Sajid Khan. Sajid-Farhag was the director of the third part of the film. The fourth and last installment was helmed by only Farhad Samji.
Housefull 1 featured, Akshay Kumar, Ritesh, Arjun Rampal, Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone, Jiah Khan, Boman Irani and Chunky Pandey. The second part casted John Abraham, Asin and Jaqueline Fernandez. The film also featured Late Rishi Kapoor.
