In a recent interview with PTI Bonita said, “(It’s) quite a moment for me because I never thought I would be in such a position. It makes me feel really proud. The whole trans community has come a really long way. There was a time when trans people were not as much visible in mainstream media. But now, I see some changes and when I am part of that change, I feel honoured. I hope this sets an example to so many girls like me, who are young, who live in rural areas, and that they feel happy,”

The film also casts newcomers like Paritosh Tiwari, Abhinav Singh, and Bonita Rajpurohit, alongside seasoned actors like Swastika Mukherjee, Tusshar Kapoor, Mouni Roy, Anu Malik, and Uorfi Javed.

Ekta Kapoor by sharing her thoughts on her upcoming project said, “Thank You for Coming has left a very strange pain in my heart because of the kind of reception it got in India, vis-a-vis the reception it got overseas, I don’t know what happened. And the hate spamming we went through – our walls used to be spammed every day with hatred, because we attempted to discover and make a movie on female sexuality. I can only imagine what’s gonna happen when ‘LSD 2’ [Dibakar Banerjee’s sequel to his 2010 hit LSD: Love, Sex Aur Dhokha] comes. I think I’ll have to hide again.”
