Recently filmmaker Shoojit Sircar have announced the release date of his upcoming probe with Abhishek Bachchan in the anniversary of Piku.
Few months back National Award Winning director Shoojit Sircar has announced that in his upcoming film Abhishek Bachchan will be in the lead role.
On May 8, it was the 9th of his film Piku. On this occasion, Sirkar have finally announced the release date of the movie with Abhishek Bachchan.
According to PTI, Shoojit Sircar have announced that his upcoming movie will be released in theaters on November 15, 2024. The film wi be portraying the relationship of a father daughter that of like Piku.
The director said, “The father-daughter relationships really special. They have their own set of awkwardness & challenges. Also, I feel it’s one of the least discussed or represented relationships, which has a lot of scope for beautiful stories. Piku was one such story with which I could immediately connect and I could present it with so much.”
He further added, “We are ready to bring this heartwarming story in front of audiences globally in theatres on November 15th, 2024,”
Few weeks back, Abhishek Bachchan by taking to his Instagram shared the first glimpse of his upcoming film by Shoojit Sircar which is still untitled. The video shkes the actor taking over the phone while he walks on a road.
The official handle of Films Rising Sun have shared a sneak peak of the film’s about and captioned it as, “Shoojit Sircar’s next is a heartwarming tale about ‘celebration of life’ in its everyday ordinary chaos! It is an emotional journey with an entertaining narrative about a father and daughter who rekindle their precious bond while they navigate through life’s challenges.”
Abhishek Bachchan’s last project with R. Balki was a sports drama Ghoomet (2003). The movie also featured Saiyami Khel. The film follows a love story of a cricket prodigy who achieves success after losing an arm. The film received positive reviews and gained moderate success.
