Excitement sweeps through the Hindi Film Trade as two industry giants, AA Films and Pen Marudhar, make significant acquisitions of top Pan India Films, injecting vitality into the film industry. Leading the pack is the monumental theatrical deal for Allu Arjun’s “Pushpa 2“, acquired by Anil Thadani for a staggering sum of Rs. 200 crores for the North Indian territory, according to industry estimates.
Following closely is the highly anticipated sci-fi epic “Kalki”, starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, securing the second-highest acquisition spot. Anil Thadani clinched the theatrical rights for Rs. 100 crores, positioning “Kalki” as a major contender set to hit screens by the end of May.
Ranked third is “Game Changer”, featuring Ram Charan and directed by Shankar. Industry experts confirm its sale to Anil Thadani for Rs. 75 crores in North India, marking a significant milestone for Ram Charan and projecting substantial returns for stakeholders, given its perceived value.
Following suit is “Devara“, starring NTR and helmed by a lesser-known director, fetching a commendable sum of Rs. 45 crores in its acquisition by Anil Thadani. Despite its rural setting in coastal Andhra, the film’s lucrative deal surpasses expectations, highlighting its potential beyond Hindi cinema.
Bringing up the rear is “Indian 2”, led by Kamal Haasan and directed by Shankar. Pen Marudhar’s acquisition of this sequel for a modest sum of Rs. 20 crores could prove to be a strategic coup, considering its lineage as a sequel to a revered classic, potentially transforming into a lucrative venture.
With stakes high on these Pan India Films, all eyes are riveted on their forthcoming releases, anticipating a resounding impact at the box office. As anticipation mounts and speculation abounds, these acquisitions signal a dynamic shift in the industry landscape, poised to captivate audiences and ignite the silver screen with their cinematic brilliance.
