Janhvi Kapoor’s is all set to play the role of a diplomat in her upcoming film ‘Ulajh’. Her character portrays the role of a patriot who is trapped in lies, deceit and life threat in a foreign country.
Janhvi Kapoor has always proved herself in every project she takes. She usually plays the role of girl-next-door characters but now she ie stepping in much darker space with ‘Ulajh’. The teaser captivates everyone.
The 56-second teaser shows Jahnvi struggling with the dilemmas of being a patriot, diplomat and a distressed woman. In each frame she seems to nail her role. The teaser begins with Suhana aka Janhvi jogging. Then her character can be seen interacting with foreign officials. A voiceover can be heard, “Suhana, do you really think that whatever you did was meant for your country? Betrayal, loyalty are mere words where people like us get trapped. These nations, borders are just lines drawn in the sand. They are not worth anything.” The teaser ends with Janhvi’s voiceover where she says, “The cost of betrayal is life. Either sacrifice yourself or take someone else’s life.”
Ulajh is helmed by Sudhanshu Saria. The film is backed by the makers of Raazi, Badhaai Do and Talvar. The action thriller also features Gulshan Deviah and Roshan Mathew. Adil Hussain, Rajesh Tailang, Meiyang Chang, Rajendra Gupta and Jitendra Joshi can also be seen in the movie. The script is by Sudhanshu and Parveez Shaikh. The dialogues has been penned by Atika Chauhan. The film is produced by Vineet Jain. The movie is to hit the screens on July 5,2024.
Janhvi Kapoor can also be seen I’m Devara: Part 1 which also stars Jr NTR. The movie is her debut Telugu movie. Janhvi can also be seen in Karan Johar’s Mr & Mrs Mahi, co-starring Rajkummar Rao. Janhvi has also signed her second Telugu movie RC16 which is directed by Pushpa fame Sukumar.
