Actor Rakesh Bedi fell prey to a cyber fraud, losing Rs 85,000 in a housing portal scam. Advertising his Pune apartment for sale, Bedi unknowingly interacted with a scammer posing as an Army officer. The scammer, armed with fake government and army IDs, promised a transaction through an Army account. Bedi initiated transfers totaling Rs 85,000 before realizing it was a scam. Despite requesting a refund, the scammer disappeared, leading Bedi to file a complaint with the Oshiwara police on December 30.
