The creators of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film, “Thug Life,” have exciting news for fans. They’ve enlisted Joju George and Gautham Karthik for significant roles in the movie.
This announcement follows the revelation of the film’s title, cast, and crew details, along with a teaser, on November 6th, 2023. The film marks the second collaboration between Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan since their 1987 gangster flick “Nayakan.”
In addition to Joju George and Gautham Karthik, Trisha Krishnan, Jayam Ravi, and Dulquer Salmaan are also playing crucial roles in the film. Speculations suggest that Dulquer Salmaan might portray a district collector.
Thug Life secures a stellar cast
“Thug Life” is a gangster thriller, featuring Kamal Haasan as Rangaraja Sakthivel Naicker. The film is produced by Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam under Raaj Kamal Films International and Madras Talkies. AR Rahman handles the music, Ravi K Chandran is the cinematographer, and A Sreekar Prasad takes care of editing. The action choreography is by Anbariv.
On the acting front, Joju George recently impressed audiences in Joshiy’s film “Antony,” while Gautham Karthik, last seen in “August 16, 1947,” is gearing up for the thriller “Criminal” directed by Dakshina Moorthy Ramar, featuring Janani Iyer, Karunakaran, Raveena Ravi, and others.
