Alia Bhatt becomes the most visible personality at Met Gala 2024. The internet is wowed with Alia’s ethereal saree.

Our own desi girl Alia Bhatt became the ‘most visible’ celebrity at Met Gala by beating all the pop stars and supermodels. On Monday evening do in New York, Alia made her second appearance at the Met Gala. Her pictures and videos in that stunning Sabyasachi saree, made social media on fire.

Influencer marketing platform Lefty reported that Alia and Sabyasachi were in the top of the visibility list by leaving behind the top celebrities, influencers and brands. Alia Bhatt beat Kendall Jenner (2), Kylie Jenner (3), Kim Kardashian (5), and even Doja Cat in her towel (15). Sabyasachi beat Burberry and even Oscar de la Renta. Check out the rankings:

It was Also second outing for the prestigious fashion gala which was organised at Metropolitan Museum of Art at New York. Alia’s elegant saree with extended 30-froot-trail won all the spotlight.

Alia’s couture saree is handmade by 163 artisans which paid homage to the official dress code for the Met Gala 2024. The theme of the event was The Garden of Time.

The saree featured extensive hand embroidery designed with precious stones and fringed with glass beads. The blouse was hand-made which was studded with emeralds, Basra pearls, tourmalinesamd multi-coloured sapphires.

Alia’s look was completed with Sabyasachi High Jewellery’s Bengal Royal collection which is studded with emeralds tourmalines, sapphires and diamonds. Alia’s debuted Met Gala in 2023 with a Prabal Gurung gown.

Alia wrote in her Instagram post that the outfit took “a life of its own”.

Alia gave a shoutout to her collaborators of the dress and wrote, “Creating this has been quite an experience… fun and stressful in equal parts. It has taken a collective effort of 163 dedicated individuals, including master craftspeople, embroiderers, artists, and dyers, investing a total of 1965-man hours to create this ethereal saree. As I wear this outfit, I feel incredibly grateful to embody this exquisite creation, a testament to boundless love and painstaking effort”.
