Surya’s Kanguva was set to release on October 10 which would be a clash with Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan at the box office. As per the earlier reports, the makers of Kanguva were deciding to postpone the film. Now, finally Surya have opened up about the report. Surya appeared for the audio launch of Karthi-Prem Kumar’s Meiyazhagan, which is backed by Suriya and Jyotika under their own banner 2D Entertainment. He shared that Vettaiyan will be releasing first.
During the audio launch Surya said, “On October 10, Rajinikanth sir’s Vettaiyan is releasing. Respecting the Superstar’s 50-year legacy, and the fact that he has been entertaining us right from our birth, I think his film should come. Surya by adding about Kanguva said, “Kanguva is the result of a lot of hard work of over 1000 people for 2.5 years to deliver a really special film for Tamil cinema. I believe that hard work will not go to waste. I believe you would give the love and respect the film deserves… I hope you support me, and make the birthday a celebration, almost like a festival. Your love and support is always needed.”
The movie Vettaiyan is the 170th film of South superstar Rajinikanth. The movie’s cast also includes, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier, and Dushara Vijayan. The movie will mark the reunite of Rajinikanth and Amitabh after 33 years. Their Bollywood film was Hum in 1991.
The movie Kanguva is an epic action-saga which is considered one of the most ambitious projects of Kollywood. Kanguva will also mark as Bobby Deol’s first Tamil film of his career. He will be seen as the antagonist Udhiran. The film will also be Disha Patani’s debut also makes her Tamil debut. Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Ravi Raghavendra, K. S. Ravikumar and B. S. Avinash will also be seen in crucial roles in the movie.
