Son Of Sardar was released in 2012 and had a clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s film Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Son Of Sardar overall managed to turn a hit and has successfully entered the 100 crore club. The sequel of the film is now on making after 12 years and the shooting is going on abroad. The shooting of the film is being done in Scotland with Mrunal Thakur and others. As per the reports, Sanjay Dutt was also to join the starcast but unfortunately, his UK visa application got rejected due to his imprisonment in 1993. It has been further reported that the veteran actor is to be replaced by Ravi Kishan. He gained lot of appreciation after his role in Laapata Ladies.
A close source of Mid-Day said, “Ever since his arrest in 1993, while Sanju has traveled to the US, he has applied for a UK visa multiple times but never got one. The Son of Sardaar 2 shoot would have been his first trip to the UK. However, after Ajay’s team found out that the senior actor’s visa request had been rejected, they replaced him with Ravi Kishan.”
As per the reports, the shooting of Housefull 5 is not going to be hampered due to Sanjay Dutt’s UK issue. According to tjr sources, director Sajid Nadiadwala has played smartly regarding Sanjay’s scenes. He said, “Sajid has chosen a wiser route. While the shooting with the cast begins in London, all of Sanju’s portions will be filmed in Mumbai. So, there are no issues on that front.”
