Raayan has been directed by Dhanush. The lead actors are Dhanush, Sundeep Kishan and Kalidas Jayaram. The film is to hit the theatres on July 26.
The trailer of the film Raayan has been released on Tuesday. The movie features Dhanush, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, SJ Suryah, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Aparna Balamurali in lead roles, apart from Prakash Raj and Dushara Vijayan. The release date has been pushed from mid-June to July 26.
The trailer of the movie begins with a shot of Dhanush in which he washes off the blood from his body. After that, Sundeep and Kalidas’s characters are shown to be miffed about something. Suryah can be seen in a different light and Prakash punishes them. Dhanush ‘s character can be seen hacking away at other peopy. He is also companied by Kalidas and Sundeep in his thirst for vengeance. But the end scene shows him in a different contrast as he looks much calmer and he can be seen talking to a policeman.
The film marks Dhanush’s second directorial film after Pa Paandi in 2017. The film also marked Dhanush’s 50th film. His brother Selvaraghavan has denied that he wrote Raayan on February. He has also revealed that he is a crucial part of the project. In the film’s first look, Dhanush, Sundeep and Kalidas can be seen staying near a foot truck as they stare interestingly towards the camera. The film’s story is not revealed by any of the promotional material.
Raayan is to be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages. The film’s music has been composed by AR Rahman. Five numbers from the film, including Adangaatha Asuran and Water Packet, have been released already. The cinematography of the film is done by Om Prakash and the editing is by Prasanna GK. The film has been produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures.
Dhanush’s last project was Captain Miller in 2023. The film received a great response during its theatrical release and after that it was released on Amazon Prime Video. His upcoming project is multi-lingual film Kubera which has been directed by Sekhar Kammula. The film also features Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh. Dhanush’s first look from Kubera shows him in tattered clothing. Rashmika’s first look from the film has been also revealed recently. The movie is to be released in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages.
