Mumbai Crime Branch ha now recovered 2nd pistol used for firing outside Salman Khan’s house after recovering the 1st gun which was found on Monday. The Mumbai Crime Branch has made a significant progress. The 2nd pistol had four magazines and 17 rounds. It was found from the Tapi river from Surat.
It has been discovered by the investigators that the shooters Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal had discarded the weapons and the magazine in the Tapi River while escaping from Mumbai to Bhuj in Gujarat. Both the pistols were allegedly used in the shooting incident outside Salman’s Galaxy residence on April 14.
Police is also in search for their phones in the river. The police believes that the suspects have made multiple bank transfers.
The incident occurred around 6 am when two men came in motorbike and fired four rounds outside Salman Khan’s apartment. According to the CCTV footage the suspects were wearing caps and had backpacks with them. The Mumbai Crime Branch had added three new sections to the FIR against the accused: IPC 506(2) (threatening), 115 (abetment), and 201 (tampering with evidence).
Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi had been declared as wanted in the connection with the case. Anmol has been claiming responsibility for the attack through a Facebook post.
Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21) has been arrested from Bihat by the Kutch Police and has been handed over to the Mumbai Crime Branch.
The suspects were presented before the court after a medical examination. This remanded them to the custody of the Mumbai Crime Branch till April 25.
