Coolie Teaser: Rajinikanth is back with a chain made of gold watches in his signature style. Coolie is Rajinikanth’s first film with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. The movie is produced by Sun Pictures.
On Monday Lokesh Kanagaraj announced the title of his next film with Rajinikanth. Lokesh shared over-three-minute title teaser of the film which was titled earlier, Thalaivar 171 on X.
The video showed several people working in a factory with gold, from chains to watches. One of the workers receives a call which says an unknown person has breached security and they should be careful. Then he gets beaten up inside as he walks outside with a hold chain to thrash the person. This is followed by a fight sequence between the workers and Rajinikanth’s character. The teaser is entirely shot in black and white with only gold colour visible. By sharing the poster, Lokesh wrote on X, “We love you Thalaiva @rajinikanth (red heart emoji). #Coolie (muscle emoji).”
A fan by reacting to the video wrote, “Lokesh + Anirudh + Rajini = Blockbuster.” Another comment read, “That final shot with the Thalaivar smile was INCREDIBLE. What incredible background music.” “Those unexpected DIALOGUES,” said another user. Another fan wrote, “Rajinikanth Screen presence + Lokesh Taking + Anirudh BGM= Goosebumps, hit in theatres.”
Rajinikanth have worked with Lokesh for the first time in this film. The movie was announced in last year September. It is rumoured that Sivakarthikeyan is to play a key role in the film. The rest of yur cast is not announced yet. Composer Anirudh Ravichander and stunt director duo Anbariv have been roped in for the film.
Rajinikanth was last seen in his daughter Aishwarya’s directorial film Lal Salaam. Currently he is working for Vettaiyan with director TJ Gnanavel. The film also casts Faasil and Rans Daggubati.
