He will then head to London in June to begin work on ‘De De Pyaar De 2,’ followed by ‘Son of Sardar 2.'” The initial leg of the London schedule will focus on “De De Pyaar De 2,” directed by Anushul Sharma, with a planned 15-day shoot.
Following the completion of this brief stint, Ajay Devgn will seamlessly transition into filming the sequel to his 2012 hit comedy, “Son of Sardar.” While details about the director remain undisclosed, sources hint at the involvement of a reputed director from the Punjabi Film Industry, known for their expertise in comedies.
The official release date announcement for “De De Pyaar De 2” added to the anticipation, with the film slated for a May 1, 2025 release. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan, and Ankur Garg, and directed by Anushul Sharma, the sequel promises to bring forth an intriguing narrative, building upon the success of its predecessor.
The original “De De Pyaar De” featured Tabu alongside Ajay Devgn, portraying a compelling story of love and relationships. Centered around the complexities of a 50-year-old protagonist, portrayed by Devgn, who falls for a much younger woman, played by Rakul Preet Singh, the film delves into societal norms and personal dilemmas. With Tabu essaying the role of Devgn’s ex-wife, the movie navigates through the challenges and criticisms faced by unconventional relationships, offering audiences a thought-provoking cinematic experience.
