Swatantra Veer Savarkar stars Randeep Hooda and Ankita Lokhande. Sacnilk.com has reported that the film has earned over Rs1 cr on its first Friday in India.
Sacnilk.com have reported, the film has earned Rs11.35 cr (Hindi: Rs1.04 cr and Marathi: Rs1 lakh) in one week. As per early estimates the film has managed to earn Rs1.15 cr nett on day 8. In India the film has earned Rs12.50 cr nett so far.
Randeep Hooda’s directorial film is a biography of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. Randeep is the pivotal character in the film. Ankita Lokhande and Amit Sial can also be seen in the film. The film has been co-produced by Roopa Pandit, Sam Khan, Anwar Ali and Panchali Chakraborty. Zee Studios, Anand Pandit, Sandeep Singh, Randeep Hooda and Yogesh Rahar are the producers of the film. The film has been released in theaters on March 22 in Hindi and Marathi.
Swatantra Veer Savarkar follows the unwavering commitment and significant contributions of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. He was one of the most influential figures of India during the struggle for Independence. The film also encapsulates the journey and struggles of the freedom fighter.
Ankita recently spoke to news agency PTI and conveyed that she was agreed to play Yamuna Bai without even reading the script. “I always knew who Veer Savarkar was and portraying his wife’s character was something for which I couldn’t say ‘No’. But when I got to know more about Yamuna Bai, I was more fascinated.” She also credited Randeep Hooda and said, “I have gone through a few researches. Randeep was already there and he researched a lot about each and every character. I got to know more about Yamuna Bai because of him.”
